You probably didn't notice that I was gone for a couple of days. Well I was. Which inspired me to write a series of "You might have been from ______ if..."
You might have been from Rosalie, TX if....
You have ever eaten at the Rosalie Store... yes I said store.
You have ever gone to a family reunion or other get together at the Rosalie Community Center.
You have even gone to "Buck's Midnight Jubilee" after the Bogata Rodeo on Saturday night.
You know where Billy's house used to be.
You know about both bad accidents that happened on that curve on 909 going towards Clarksville, involving 2 sisters at different times.
You have eaten at Jim's Country Corner.
You have seen the bright yellow victorian style house on the right going towards Bogata.
You might have gone to Rivercrest H.S. if....
You remember when they closed school because someone put a dead polecat in the a/c system.
You were ever transported from Talco or Bogata to go to school in Johntown.
You remember a coach named E. Wake Wood, and remember him saying "Now you are cooking with crisco!"
You remember a coach named Foos, that actually taught Foosball, or football as some would call it.
You remember a certain english teacher who could not say the word "Subject" and actually pronounce that T.
You remember when the Talco group and Bogata groups would not really sit together in the lunch room.
You remember when a girl was on the football team.
You might have gone to Mt. Vernon H.S. if.....
You ever had to drive to Sulphur Springs to "cruise the strip".
You ever hung out at the OLD Brookshires parking lot.
You remember when there wasn't a Burger King.
You heard the rumor about Winsborro taking the Tiger and sinking it in Lake Winsborro.
You know who the Jordans are and where they live now.
You know who the Ramsays are and where they live.
You have heard of places like "Walleye Park" and have frequented them in the summer.
You know someone who has a lake house.
You have ever worked at or bought something at Tom Scott's.
